About Nisha Chand, MD
“Top Doctor” award winner Nisha Chand, MD, is a double board-certified physician in practice at Northern Virginia Gastroenterology, P.C. In her role as a gastroenterologist in the Centreville, Sterling, and Chantilly, Virginia, offices, Dr. Chand treats patients with problems in every part of the digestive tract, from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) to inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and hemorrhoids.
Dr. Chand earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College of Manipal, in Manipal, India. She completed her internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia. She’s board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Along with her work at Northern Virginia Gastroenterology, P.C. over the last five years, Dr. Chand served as an assistant professor at George Washington University, in Washington, DC. Dr. Chand was born and raised in the Washington Metropolitan Area, so she has well-established roots in the area and loves her work at Northern Virginia Gastroenterology, P.C. She’s fluent in English, Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu.
